Riptide Realtime Fast PCIe Bus Interface |
The
Fast PCIe Interface to Xinetics HVA will write signed 16-bit actuator data
to an SOR-422 differential data channel at a user-selectable rate of 20,
30 or 40 MHz. Actual
performance across the PCIe bus is dependent on the motherboard's bus implementation, and competition with other bus devices. At
40 MHz, all actuators in a 277-element DM can be written in about 7us. The
board requires a 4x or greater PCIe slot and the software driver requires
a 2.6 Linux kernel. Source code for the driver is included.
